The lightweight MAC Black Series features thin blades constructed from high-carbon AUS 8 steel, which includes Molybdenum for oxidation resistance. The blades in this collection are finished with a non-stick Teflon coating that prevents food from adhering to the surface, making them suitable for delicate ingredients such as vegetables and fish. Hand-sharpened on both sides at approximately 15° by craftsmen in Seki, Japan, each knife features the patented "MAC Edge" – a hybrid cutting style combining the advantages of single and double-bevel blade geometry. The collection is equipped with ergonomic handles made of durable Pakkawood that is highly resistant to kitchen conditions, shaped to ensure balance and a secure grip.
