Bonten Unryu by Ryusen

Manufactured in Japan, the Ryusen Bonten Unryu Kai collection features thin and lightweight 63-layer Damascus steel blades. The construction consists of a VG-10 steel cutting core enveloped by 62 outer layers, ensuring durability and sharpness. Following the forging process, the blades undergo acid etching to produce a matte finish with visible layer contrasts that resemble clouds. The collection is equipped with Ryusen's redesigned octagonal "Reborn" handle, crafted from quince wood. This moisture-resistant handle includes a black pakka bolster and an integrated piece of turquoise-blue polyurethane resin, providing structural stability without shrinking or expanding.
