Gurenhiryu by Ryusen

The Gurenhiryu is a high-spec model collection featuring blades constructed from the new "SPG STRIX®" material. While maintaining the same workability and durability as conventional stainless steel powder steel, this material reaches a hardening hardness of HRC65, providing corrosion resistance, toughness, and ease of sharpening. The blade shape features a curve reminiscent of a Japanese sword to maintain space between the handle and the cutting board. A shimmering pattern inspired by flames is applied by hand by craftsmen at the boundary between the blade and the handle. The collection is equipped with stabilized wood handles made of natural poplar wood permeated and hardened with scarlet resin, creating a distinct red-stained grain pattern.
