Each knife in the Professional Series features an ultra-thin blade (2.0–2.5 mm) crafted from premium AUS-8 high-carbon stainless steel, a signature alloy used by MAC that ensures outstanding hardness, excellent edge retention and strong resistance to corrosion.

The blades are hand-sharpened by expert craftsmen in Seki, Japan, a city renowned for its centuries-old blade-making tradition. Each knife incorporates MAC’s patented hybrid edge, a distinctive grind that combines Japanese and Western angles. This innovative design allows for more precise and effortless slicing than traditional V-shaped or single-bevel blades.

The Western-style handle, made from durable Pakka wood, offers a secure, comfortable grip and excellent control during use.
