Attention: Carbon steel blades are easy to sharpen but are sensitive to corrosion. For proper maintenance and to avoid rust, the blade should be thoroughly dried after each use and regularly oiled.

In case of oxidation stains

• Rub the blade gently with the rough side of a sponge and then wash it with a sponge moistened with warm water and dish soap.

• Dry it with a soft, dry cloth.

• Finally, apply a thin layer of cooking oil.

We recommend storing your Opinel in a dry place with the blade closed.
