Both knives in the Ran series feature a 69-layer Damascus steel blade, composed of a hard VG10 cobalt alloy core enveloped by 34 layers of high-carbon stainless steel on each side. This construction provides exceptional edge retention, strength, and resistance to corrosion, while delivering the distinctive Damascus pattern that reflects the beauty and heritage of Japanese blade-making.

Each blade is hand-sharpened to an ultra-precise angle of less than 12° per side, offering incredibly smooth, clean cuts for every culinary task.
