Oukoku Ryu by Ryusen

The Oukokuryu Series is Ryusen's highest-grade knife collection. The cutting edge is constructed from ultra-high-grade "Super Gold 2" powder stainless steel, achieving high sustainability and durability. The base of the blade consists of a 99-layer nickel Damascus metal, hand-hammered by skilled craftsmen to form a cloud dragon pattern resembling a sumi-e painting. Designed at the boundary between the blade and the handle is a wave-like pattern inspired by a "flame". The collection is equipped with heavy-presence handles made of stabilized natural poplar wood in a deep black color, treated with resin to become stable and resistant to water and temperature fluctuations. Integrated spacers on the top and bottom allow for weight balance adjustments.
