The MAC Chef Series consists of a wide range of lightweight kitchen knives featuring traditional European shapes with thin blades measuring 2.0-2.5mm. The blades are constructed from original AUS 8 molybdenum steel, featuring a high carbon content for hardness and Molybdenum for resistance to oxidation. Hand-sharpened on both sides at approximately 15° by craftsmen in Seki, Japan, each knife features the patented "MAC Edge" – a hybrid cutting style combining traditional European and Japanese single and double-bevel edge geometry. The collection is designed with straight handles (in line with the spine of the blade) made of durable Pakkawood that is highly resistant to kitchen conditions.
