Japanese by MAC

The MAC Japanese Series consists of various traditional Japanese knife shapes, such as the Yanagiba (Sashimi or raw fish slicer) and Deba (Cleaver), with the steel type and blade thickness varying depending on the specific item. The blade is constructed from sub-zero AUS 8 steel, featuring a high carbon content for increased hardness and Molybdenum for resistance to oxidation. The steel is processed using MAC's sub-zero method for added hardness, and each knife is hand-sharpened by Japanese craftsmen in Seki. The collection features ergonomic handles made of Pakkawood, a highly durable material under kitchen conditions, shaped to ensure a secure grip during use.
